Chaque album d'Infer est un raz-de-marée de haine et de violence gratuites mais il y a aussi une logique derrière l'annihilation systématique. Après la destruction des valeurs humaines, après avoir enfoncé un pieu dans le cœur de Dieu, Aeon of Deathless Blight est l'album qui fait pleuvoir les démons sur terre. Infer mise moins sur les ambiances et se concentre sur un death/black metal à la production impeccable pour maximiser le potentiel de destruction. Même après dix ans, Infer est invictus.

J'ai dit qu'Infer n'était pas subtil (et je le maintiens) mais ça ne veut pas dire pour autant qu'il est prévisible. Le quartette slovaque fait de la violence et de la haine contre la religion, surtout catholique, son fond de commerce mais ce n'est qu'à partir de Sede Vacante Aeternum, son troisième album (c'est de circonstance), qu'il s'attaque à l'autorité épiscopale. Par contre, Infer se consacre 100% à ce sujet : Sede Vacante Aeternum est une destruction totale par un black metal vindicatif.
